After a week in Korea with plenty of shopping, eating, and the DMZ we decided to take the afternoon to again tour some of Korea's historical sites. See how the people of years past lived. Hidden behind the hustle and bustle of restaurants, shops, and the subway is Hanok Village. This village has five restored traditional Korean houses, a pavilion, and a pond which was a perfect spot to take a walk and grab more pictures.
The five houses were rebuilt after the traditional houses of Joseon Dynasty and belong to those of various social classes, ranking from peasants to the king. Each house included many rooms and included furniture to help visitors understand the daily life of the past. Just amazing to see the work that went into these structures including the layout and amenities, including heated floors.
Within the area/park was also a few paths to walk along and enjoy the scenery and quiet spaces.
