Wanted to get this final post in from our sightseeing adventures on the first trip to Seoul. During the last could of days there we visited a second palace and took a guided tour both through the palace itself as well as the King's secret garden that lay behind it. This was an enjoyable 2-2.5 hours and of course many photo opportunities.
This palace was the back up palace for when the main one was under attack or needing repair. It had a bit smaller grounds but still very impressive! The secret garden was a nature filled area the King could spend time relaxing, reading, and meditating. It was indeed a very quiet, peaceful and calming to be in there compared to the hustle and bustle of Seoul.
