Exit Permit (EP) SUBMITTED

Holy Moly with a side of Canolli.....not something we were expecting to see today in my Inbox, but we'll take it!!! I am sooooo super excited to share that we've covered the first hurdle in the final processing of our adoption....file preparation complete! AND our file has been submitted to the Korean Ministry of Healthy & Welfare. Wooo!!!! Hooo!!!!  The process having some new twists to it, has typically taken anywhere from 6-8 weeks so you'll see why we where surprised at our approx. 4 weeks.  Now onto the next step which is waiting for the Ministry to review our file, request any missing pieces or enhancements to things "they don't like" and then EP approval.

This EP review and approval part of the process has been so hit & miss, with families receiving approval at 6 weeks and others still waiting going on 11 weeks. We know they still have families from May, June, and July EP submission so much work to be done by the Ministry before they even get to us. [Come on Ministry, go ahead and start approving more families already so you can get onto the next families in line!!!!]  My wishful thinking is the end of October, but realistically I know it might be November before we see our EP approval.

The next 2 months will not move fast enough....
come on Ministry....come on EP Approval!!!!

The Pout Pout Fish

This months book buy was chosen based on my recent visit with my good friend and fellow adoptive mom in waiting (Miss Tara). Her little guy was so sweet in sharing/reading a few of his favorite books with me. One of which was The Pout Pout Fish. Being the aquatic lover I am, I just knew we had to add this book to Benjamin's  library.
