Third Full Day

A lot of ups and downs today. Benjamin was in a cranky, sad, mellow mood most of the morning and early afternoon. I'm sure much of it was finally setting in and realizing he's stuck with us and not just visiting. We did succeed in getting him into new jammies the night before and then into  new clothes we brought with for the day. After about 2 hours of waking up, he is not a morning person, we managed to eat some breakfast even try Mommy's Nutella toast.  Not so much a fan as he didn't like it getting his fingers messy.  

After breakfast, we made it down to the playroom for a short while.  As we were leaving, we could see the tears coming and bottom lip push out.  Yep, he had a major meltdown as soon as we got back to the room. Playful and obstinate was how his foster mother described him...yep we can see both of those coming through. I would also add that he is very cautious, sensitive, snuggly, and meticulous. So after the meltdown, he then spent most of the day in Daddy's arms, whining, or having additional mini meltdown. So sad to see him frustrated and sad but happy to see that he found comfort in his Daddy's arms : ) Though Benjamin had to pull it together and ask to be held before Daddy would pick him up.

After an afternoon nap, we had a much more energetic and happy boy who again hit the playroom for 2 hours with friends.
