[final approval 1.10.14, issuance to our agency 1.13.14]
The call finally came at 6:30 pm as we were eating our spaghetti and chicken nugget dinner. 18 days after our initial approval these sweet words mean Benjamin is ours, all ours and we can bring him home! Only one step to go while here in Korea and that's to go to the US Embassy for a visa interview. Then we're headed home early Wednesday morning. Lots of packing to come tomorrow night after he's asleep.
Just another day in Seoul with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Benjamin is really venturing out more with us, following us to different rooms or looking for us when we are not with him. He even went into the bathroom that has the tub in it and hung out with me for a bit. Earlier in our time together he wouldn't dare go near that room or would cry if we even took him by it. He and I spent a little time in there this evening brushing our teeth (twice), lotioning our face, and then washing our toys in the sink.
Today we also said good bye to our friend Hyoek as he and his family headed back to Australia. Benjamin then met a new friend in the playroom who will be headed home later this week to Tennessee. It's really been great seeing and chatting with other families even if just for a few minutes. We had another Skype session as well as a morning walk outside. Of course this afternoon when the house keeper came, she was fully stocked with snacks including a yummy chocolaty moon pie : )

What a difference a week makes:) He seems to be adjusting and his happiness shows on his face. Just think in forty-eight hours I get to finally meet him...Can't wait.
