Fourth Full Day

The end of our fourth day also hopefully brings us to our half way point in Seoul with Benjamin. It's definitely night and day from those first hours together but still a challenge on the communication front. I can only imagine how frustrated he is with us not knowing what he wants based on his words and gibbering. Still lots of pointing by him and asking by us to take us to what he wants. We are making strides in the way of anticipating and interpreting meltdowns. We are starting to tell the difference between those due to sadness and frustration versus those due to just not getting what he wants. And they always end in him wanting one of us to hold him and snuggle for a bit....mostly Daddy but I do get a few. 

Lots of fun stuff today including playtime with a friend, dressing up to go outside, potato snack from our house keeper, and full bath including hair wash. Well maybe not all so fun for Benjamin. We have not been outside with him yet as he is still looking out doors and windows for his Omma (foster mother). So I dressed up his animal (Eddie) in Benjamin's winter gear and set him in the stroller on Thursday.  He sat there for a full day and Benjamin finally went over to him today and took the items off and started dressing himself.  With a little help from Mommy we got all suited up and pushed Eddie around the room for a bit. Success!! 

Benjamin and I also shared a super yummy Korean pancake after lunch for dessert. So glad we're in an area with lots of food close by including street food carts that sell quick and delicious snacks! We grabbed some dumplings for lunch and will probably venture out later this week to see what else we can find to nibble on.
