Lovely Baby Benjamin

Yesterday was a Saturday morning of cleaning house for company and the upcoming vacation...woohoo!!  As I strolled down the stairs, Fred stopped me near the bottom with his hands behind his back.  He asked me how my day was going, and that I shouldn't freak out or cry.  So I slowly sat down not knowing where he was going with this, and out form behind his back popped an envelope from the mail. My eyes immediately saw a familiar handwriting and it said "Cho, Seung Joon."  We hadn't been expecting anything from our agency, but my mind wondered if there were pictures inside??  So I grabbed it from Fred and felt something flat and hard inside.  My first thought was a CD with pictures...oh joy!  So I opened it up and no CD, but something just as great, a book that his foster mother had made for us filled with pictures...OH JOY!!

Wow, what a generous and caring gesture for his Foster Mother to take the time and create a book for us.  After sending care packages and letters each month, I finally have a connection to his world. Being able to see Benjamin so candid in his environment, hanging out just being a baby, having a good time makes it that much more real.  You can see in these pictures he is in a loving home and having so many wonderful experiences. It is also very cool to see his little personality in action...lots of smiles, some crying, and a bit of thumb sucking.  This book is one of the most amazing gifts I've ever received and can't wait to share it with Benjamin someday.

Here are a few, well more than a few, of the photos in the book.  By looking at his monthly update pictures we receive, I'm guessing the photos in the book are from when he was placed with the family in January 2012 (4 mo old) through July 2012 (10 mo old).
